Summary of this Book...
When Charley was a boy, his dead-beat father told him he must choose between being a mama's boy or a daddy's boy. Charley chose his father and carried many regrets regarding his relationship with his hard-working mother into his adulthood. In his book "For One More Day", Mitch Albom tells the story of Charley Benetto; a former baseball player and battling alcoholic reeling in depression after losing his family as well as his sense of self worth. He hit rock-bottom after learning his only daughter has excluded him from her wedding. The story asks the question, What if you could spend one more day with someone you loved and lost? It reminds us of the imprint our loved ones have on our lives and the importance of cherishing them while they are still here. Definitely one of those books you walk away from with a better perspective on life. I highly recommend it.
