Tempest “Rusti” Trine with flashlight and wrench in hand, she was crawling out from under the troupe’s huge touring bus when he first caught sight of her.  She was small, almost childlike.  At first he was certain she was, at most a teenager, dressed in baggy overalls, her wealth of red-gold hair pulled back into a ponytail.  Her face was grimy, smudged with oil and dirt.  Then she turned slightly, and he could see high, firm breasts thrusting against the thin cotton top beneath the bib of her overalls.

Darius looked wild and dangerous. Everything about him screamed peril and power.  He was tall and sinewy like the cats, and his long dark hair was shaggy and untamed.  His eyes as black as night, were large and mesmerizing and as penetrating as those of the two panthers at his side.

If you have always been a fan of Christine Feehans' Dark Series with her irresistable Carpathian heros, well hold on to your seatbelts.  Ms Feehan burns up the pages in "DARK FIRE", this skillful blend of supernatural thrills and romance that is sure to entice.

I have to admit I'm a sucker for the imperfect person or situation in a story.  Ms. Feehan hit the nail on the head by pairing a headstrong firecracker with a domineering Carpathian male.  Neither Tempest nor Darius know exactly how to handle the feelings the other evoke. For Darius, there is no question, Tempest should obey him in all things, but that isn't about to happen.  For Tempest, living on the streets has taught her that she can only depend on herself. So having a dominating , controling male is not sitting pretty for her. Their tempetous nature stikes out at the first sight of one another, and sets the story at it's quick and erotic pace and leaves you breathless to the end.

As always happens when I finish a Christine Feehan book, I pick up another and read until I can't read anymore.

Ms. Feehan has a way of putting you right in the action of her story.  All the way through I felt a rush of excitement that by the end I wanted it to continue.

Ms. Feehan is unique in that , yes she uses the paranormal genre with a contemporay flair that strikes at the heart of her readers.

Recommending this book is a no brainer, beacause anyone that wants to be thrilled and seduced for a few hours should pick up this book.
