Summary of this Book...
Evanovich has, from her very first novel in this
mystery series, come up with a "natural" in a character called Stefanie Plum. When she becomes a bail bondswoman she is't really sure what she has gotten herself into. The novel rides like a movie as funny as the statement in the edition summary that "she lost her cherished Mazda Miata to a repo man. Replacement: a used Nova with a bad muffler." I really liked what The Washington Post had to say about this NY Times Best-Selling novelist with the remark that "One For The Money comes roaring in like a blast of very fresh air, it goes down like a tall, cool drink." Why not? Stefanie Plum needs money and her cousin Vinnie may be willing to give her
$10,000 in reward money for bringing in a fascinatingly sexy guy named Joe Morelli, a vice cop charged with murder on his hands and skipping parole. This is the guy she knew when she was much younger and it eeks a chase with a sexual attitude that is comic as well as serious. Stefanie Plum goes after wearing the money behind a lady with a leopard-skin coat, red nylons, and a sexy heart-shaped wince on even though she is unbearable hurting for it.
This type of Book is good for...
Itg's good for casual, mystery buffs who like the active voice and a hot libido with a suspenseful inner voice charming us all with every move. I found it good for innocent laughs. Snickered with it at all points. The finale is lays out better than a standard who-dunnit and some scenes are graphic but you taxi into a job of investigation with even the price of a pair of handcuffs being 40 dollars to a Smith-and-Wesson she can't afford. One line marks the trail: Isn't it just insanity. Who knows what criminals can do.
I especially liked...
I especially liked Evanovich's wisdom. It lies in life, juxtaposed with a funny woman and perhaps we should call her "another J.D. Salinger". This one
is a smooth talking limosine in a cheap Nova.
This Book made me feel...
Laughter, was thought-provoking, and examined crime. Nothing escapes the naked eye of Ms. Evanovich. It's pretty unquestionable. Hailed and prolific as a contemp fiction mystery author can get.
I recommend this Book because...
A book like this can have a woman's safety in mind
yet give humor to the situations she is encountering. She cuts to the chase with even the descriptive sweaty moments of awry.
Further Comments...
With tricks in the trade, it's a one-of-a-kind. It's a full-police course if you follow Stefanie
Plum which I intend to do in the future with my reading list.
