Shaw does a fantastic job of describing a young girl's dedication to a higher calling and her willingness to give her life for what she believes in. Though she does waver in her youth by signing a false confession, at discovering an eternity in prison she tairs up the confession and elects to be burned. A terrific tale of compassion and love.

Great for understanding martyrdom and hope.

The depiction of Joan in real life as a young girl, but still sghe hears the calling of God and is willing to answer the call and do God's will.

I thought that Shaw would have done better to produce this in prose rather than as a play, I bet though it is a powerful play to see live.

DO more backround research on Saint Joan to see how accurate the play was.

That with the help of God anything is possible.

Not the greatest play I have ever read, and it is a quick read and well worth the time invested.
