This movie is about a troubled paranoid teen that has a friend named Frank which no one else can see. Frank is a demonic 6 foot tall bunny rabbit and tells the main character, Donnie, that the world will end, which is October 31 Halloween night.

Anyone who enjoys a unique story that’s truly captivating and mesmerizing. This film is genera defying. It contains elements of science fiction, drama, comedy, suspense, and that’s why this move is hard to label under a specific type of category.

How the story played out. All the characters were unique and I have to honestly say this movie is very original. The ideas portrayed are something I’ve never seen in a movie. I also liked the nice selection for the soundtrack to this film. What I liked the most was the usage of life orbs. According to this movie’s idea, everyone has a set path which flows out of our bodies like spheres. If you can see your destined path then you can channel into God’s plan. You can therefore in a sense, time travel.

It’s near flawless. I can’t think of anything bad to say.

Intrigued. This movie is so fascinating and made me think a lot. You may want to watch multiple times to understand everything completely. I’m sure you won’t get it on the first run.

If you love weird movies then don’t pass this one. It’ll stick with you for a long time.

If you hate when movies make you think too much and just want to watch something that doesn’t stress your brain, then don’t see this. Donnie Darko may not be for every one.

This film has become a cult smash hit since its 2001 release date. It has been listed under “The top 50 films to see before you die.” Give this movie a shot and see if it works for you.
