Summary of this Book...
This book marks the beginning of Harry Potter's fantastic journey through a magical world scarcely imagined before. The plot is full of twists, turns, and nearly constant excitement. Truly one of my favorites of the series, and a super introduction to all that follows in the remaining six installments.
This type of Book is good for...
Readers who are in an early-advanced stage of chapter books. Far more appropriate for younger audiences that the later books. Also immensely enjoyable for older readers--yes, even adults--who like a book that provides them an chance to escape from the mundane.
I especially liked... | ||
Harry's burgeoning relationship with the people who would prove so pivotal in the series. Especially his interactions with Ron and Hermione, which range from really amusing to deeply meaningful.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the others that were already out! I didn't find the series until the first five books had been published. After reading the first one, I finished the other four in less than a week!
The author of this Book...
J.K. Rowling. She has a wonderful and expressive narrative voice and an imagination that defies explanation. A lovely combination of Tolkein and Poe, in my opinion.
