Summary of this Book...
In 1558 young Cat O'Malley watches the English attack her Irish homestead and kill her father. Alone and bitter, she adopts a British name, becomes an Irish spy among Queen Elizabeth's ladies-in-waiting, and meets secretly with her childhood friend, Bobby Brosnihan. Together they follow the Cleary clan, who refuse to live under English rule; then another Irish clan who desires peace with England sends Niall Riordan to negotiate. Niall and Cat fall for each other, but as she struggles to choose between her cause and her heart, he is framed for a crime he didn't commit. Before Niall is sentenced, Cat inadvertently exposes herself, and the queen orders that unless they marry, Cat and Bobby will be executed. Niall and Cat consent, and the newlyweds set out for Ireland, but fate brings more danger and trouble their way, testing their trust in each other and their will to survive. A delightful romance full of twists and turns, passion, and promise.
