Summary of this Book...
Fourteen-year-old Susie Salmon has been murdered and is looking down from her heaven on her family, trying to help them deal with the tragedy. It’s a touching story that takes the reader through her family’s and friends’ grief, told in a fresh way, through Susie’s voice.

I especially liked... | ||
the unique style of this touching tale. When I read the inside of the flyleaf about a young girl looking down from heaven, I almost put the book back. Instead, I found myself drawn in to the story by the voice of the narrator, and the insight into the characters’ lives as they dealt with the tragic murder. What I was afraid would be either a saccharine or a maudlin tale was instead a kind of fairy tale about real people. What a pleasant surprise.
