Summary of this DVD... | ||
A sweet and funny tale about the relationship between three daughters and their somewhat neurotic mother. Diane Keaton plays the mother who wants to find a suitable man for her youngest daughter. Instead of letting nature take it's coarse, she uses an internet dating site to find her daughter's prince charming. Although she finds someone she thinks is perfect, along the way her plans are thwarted by another handsome candidate, who she doesn't want anywhere near her daughter.
This type of DVD is good for...
a girly night out with your best friends. Don't take the boyfriend or hubby with, I'm not sure they'll enjoy it.
I especially liked... | ||
the close relationships between the mother and her daughters.
I didn't like... | ||
the fact that during some scenes you would think Milly's (Mandy Moore) character would stand up to her mother and become a bit more assertive. I also didn't like the whole dating two men at once storyline, although I don't think the movie would be the same without it. Even though the internet dating part worked really well for this movie, I do think that it has been overused quite a bit, e.g. Must Love Dogs, You've Got Mail, Cinderella Story etc.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
are all excellent as actors. A really good cast gives this movie that extra spark.
I recommend this DVD because...
it's charming, it's funny and it will keep you entertained. Definitely a chick flick.
