Throughout this whole story I was fooled into believing that this book actually was written by the Geisha! That's how well the author had written her point, with these beautiful words, and you really felt as if you were hearing this from the woman's voice who this story is about. It's about a girl who gets sold by her family and has the possibility of being a Geisha given to her, and then taken away, and she fights to earn it again.

The female audience, great for if you're looking to read something interesting and with different words and visuals than what you may be used to.

The main character, I loved all of the other characters as well. They were described so well that it was as if I could imagine them right there, and how I couldn't seem to predict the story that easily, which I normally can.

Occasionally it may have gotten a little slower, and I'd be waiting for a certain part/something to pop up, but that's the only thing I could think of.

Read more Geisha stories, was very neat seeing that world.

Sad, happy, it made me laugh, it made me worry for the character, and other characters, try and guess what was going to happen, and feel for everybody, even the Geisha who was the sort of villian.

Did an outstanding job on writing from the Geisha's perspective, having very descpritive/vivid visuals, and did a great job with the story overall.

It was very enjoyable, fun to read, and had characters that were engaging and that I felt about. That isn't something you can always say about a story, and if the author can make you feel for those characters he/she has, they are doing something amazing and right. I wanted to read more about this world you rarely hear about after I was done.

I would definitely recommend this book! For a book that has romance and is centered around that romance it wasn't so easy to predict as I thought it might be. It pulls at your heart strings at times and I just love the characters in it. I think what you pay for it is well deserved for such a good book.
