Summary of this Book...
Live of Pi is the story of an Indian boy of many faiths leaving on a ship bound for Canada. He and his family travel with the last animals of the zoo they sold before making the move. The ship sinks in the middle of the night, leaving behind only Pi and a few animals, one of which is the adult Bengal tiger, Richard Parker.
This type of Book is good for...
Remembering to live and finding that part of yourself that is a monster, but is necessary.
I especially liked... | |||
Oh, wow. Everything. The message and the way it was delivered, but most especially the universal nature of it. If the message is lost on you, it is still a courageous tale about survival on the open sea.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Feed the tiger and stop worrying about how that made me feel.
This Book made me feel...
That cages aren't such a bad thing, but you need to know when to let them go.
I recommend this Book because...
It can be a different experience for everyone and everyone can take something away from it. Even those that hate it take something from it, whether they know it or not.
