Summary of this Book...
When March Monroe’s daughter, Olivia, goes off to college, March decides to go back to school, too. Only she doesn’t tell her daughter—yet. But when they both end up with an internship at the same radio station, the slightly narcissistic Olivia is more than a little bit put out with her mother. Multiple Choice is a humorous look at an almost empty nester (she still has a hungry teenage son at home) who is a little bored with her marriage and her life. She goes back to school at her husband’s urging, but is it really what she wants to do? After all, as one multiple choice question asks (there’s one at the beginning of each chapter): “Balancing family, work, and college means a. putting one of them on the back burner b. learning to juggle c. lots of caffeine or d. lowering your standard further than you imagined possible.” This is a lighthearted, engaging story of familiar family relationships and how a middle-aged woman begins to finally discover herself.
