Summary of this Book...
It explains simply and clearly the main points of punctuation!
This type of Book is good for...
A person who wants to doublecheck the main thinking on punctuation, and wants to use an accessible, clear and functional book!
I especially liked... | ||
The ease with which everything is explained in chapters, and the use of well-known quotes and phrases to iterate the ideas! A reviewer on Amazon.com called it 'unpretentious' and I would have to agree. It uses common sense to distinguish when rigid rule-abiding can turn some sentences into reading disasters!
I didn't like... | ||
It doesn't cover grammar which I sometimes need checking in relation to punctuation, but this is a great starting point and would be marvellous for young adults.
