Summary of this Book...
Danica Shardae and Zane Cobriana are on the opposite sides of two warring cultures (bird and snake shapeshifters). Together, they strive to make peace between their peoples. Although it is the basic Romeo and Juliet plot (minus the dying), I thought the author presented it in a unique and diverse way. All in all, a good read.
This type of Book is good for...
A quick read. If you're looking for something you can gobble up fast, I'd suggest this one.
I especially liked...
Some of the characters. Although they did seem slight two-dimensional, I found myself attached to them (especially the character of Andreios).
I didn't like...
The length of the book. It took me a trip from Mississauga to Bobcageon (approx. two hours) to finish it. I also didn't like the simplicity of the plot. There were very little twists and turns in it and the largest surprise became expected near the end. Not to mention, it seemed... unfinished. Like there was no closure for the characters at all.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read more. I felt like there should have been an epilogue, or like there should have been another chapter, at the least. It seemed like the author had just decided she didn't feel like writing anymore, and so stopped in the middle of the story.
This Book made me feel...
Empty. I wanted more.
The author of this Book...
Is still a little unpolished, and her writing still has a ways to go, but is ultimately an okay writer. I liked her style for the most part of the story, but I wasn't thrilled with the way she presented her information.
I recommend this Book because...
It's short, and easy. If you've had a hard day doing something, it's a good story to get yourself wrapped up in because it ends quickly and is easy to understand (not to mention, I hear tell of a series with this book).
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you're looking for something intellectually challenging, you won't find what you're looking for in this book.
