Esther is a college student growing up in the 1950's. She is trying to cope with the views of women in her society. Also for the first time in her life she is coping with the fact that life isn't as grand as she thought.

The way men in this book treated her, nor the way her mother and first doctor dismissed her depession as nothing more than a bad dream.

I was on the edge on my seat and happy. I wanted to know what happened next and I was happy that she was understand what she wanted.

Interested in wondering if Esther end up like Sylvia Plath.

I find it interesting that Esther was her. That she felt that her life was in a bell jar that separated her from the rest of the world.

It makes you think about things that you might be hiding.

If you get mad at feminist books, then I don't you would want to read this. The whole book is about finding where you fit in the 1950's world. Where women really did nothing but get married and have children.
