Summary of this Book...
This is an analogy started by the late Marion Zimmer Bradley. It has many stories in it, and though this one lacks the unique introduction made by it's past editor, it still is somewhat the same. It is a grouping of stories with female characters who live as warriors/sorceress, or run into something similar.
This Book made me feel...
A mix of feelings-- I've read the previous volumes, and I miss the unique parts that MZB brought to the volumes; it also ends with a Homily, which reminds you of the MZB's death. But when you start this book, you also find out that this series will continue without the person who started it; and I have to agree that I think MZB (though I knew her only from her writing) would have been glad that this series continued.
Further Comments... | ||
This book is different from the privious volumes; it's easy to miss the introductions of the authors, or the introduction to the volume that was made by MZB, but the stories progress; they are new and somewhat the same. It's the same sort of stories you would expect to find, and the authors are good ones. I would have any potential readers remember that the stories involve women... which means some stories may mention: menustration, marriage, children, rape... from that perspective.
