Summary of this DVD... | ||
Well for those of you who have read the books, but not seen the film, I think you should. I'm currently half way throught the book(I'm making an effort to finish all three before the last film comes out). Basically, the film is about a ring, if you didnt guess from the title, which needs to be destroyed. It is the One Ring, which all had thought been destroyed. Although the Dark Lord Sauron was thought to have been killed, if the Ring is still in existance, then Sauron can rise up again. This chapter of the trilogy focuses on a one Frodo Baggins, who undertakes the journey to destroy the Ring, encountering many perils on the way.
This type of DVD is good for...
People who enjoy a bit of fantasy, and for those who have read and enjoyed the books.
I especially liked... | ||
The plot, the special effects and the Ringwraiths.
I didn't like... | ||
The fact that they didnt make the Hobbit into a film before the Lord of the Rings trilogy
The cast of this DVD... | ||
Elijah Wood played the all important Frodo Baggins, with Ian McKellan as Gandalf the wizard and Christopher Lee as the evil Saruman. The elf Legolas was played by the lovely Orlando Bloom, and the heir of Gondor, Aragorn, was portrayed by Viggo Mortensen, who also starred in GI Jane. Other actors included Sean Bean, Ian Holm and John Rhys-Davies.
I recommend this DVD because...
It's a great addition to any video collection, especially once all three have been released.
