Summary of this Book...
This is simply THE fantasy story. An amazing tale of a simple creature called a hobbit and all the dangerous and magical things that go on through his journey to get the treasure from the dragon Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is the kind of hero that you just have to love in a story.
I especially liked... | ||
Everythiing. The descriptions, the characters, the events, the imagery... I really can't recall anything that could make this book less than 5 stars.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Write a fantasy book and create a world just as beautiful as Tolkien did.
The author of this Book...
J.R.R. Tolkien, one of the greatest fantasy writers ever. Truly an author to inspire potential writers of all ages and genres. Though his writing style can be a little complex and wordy at times, it really does create strong imagery for the reader.
I recommend this Book because...
It's just a great book. The plot is simple, nothing over the top with huge events or great battles, but yet it is so enthralling that you kind of forget that there is the rest of the world and begin to believe all focuses on this band of unlikely adventurers.
Further Comments... | ||
This is the book that truly got me into writing and reading. I am sure it is the same for many other authors and writers.
