This book is a collection of poems written by Gaius Valerius Catullus who lived approximately from 84-54 BC. The contents of the poems are diverse. Some greatly satirical, some outlandish, some are excellently contrived and presented tales and some brazen. | ||
I especially liked... | ||
I liked the cut throat attitude found in some of the poems, but I especially liked the epic poetry. I'm not going to write what the book contains because the reader who doesn't know what to expect will be that much more enthralled. | ||

This book made me laugh at times and cry at other times. I was touched by the love stories and angered at the brazen societal behaviors portrayed in some of the poems. | ||
