The Raging Quiet is a wonderful book about a young woman, widowed after only two days of marriage to a lord. Her only friends are the local 'madman' and the priest as she tries to survive in a rundown, seaside cottage on a beautiful and secluded cove. Suspisions of witchcraft arise after the nearby village hear of the lords death, and soon Marnie finds that her life and the lives of her new friends are now at stake. | ||

I really like the charaters, who were vivid and as real as you and me. The author creates a main character that is beleivable, and throughout the book, you find yourself cheering for her to suceed, and feeling her pain and lost. | ||

There was nothing about this book that I did not like. I read this book in two days because I could not put it down, and after reading it I did not feel cheated, nor did I feel that the book was missing something. This is a great book for anyone to read. | ||

When I finished the book, I wanted to tell everyone I knew about it. However, being as I stayed up until two in the morning reading it, because I couldn't put it down, that was impossible. | ||

I recommend this book for the same reason it was recommended to me, because it is very well writen with beleivable characters, vivid scenery and is full of emotion. | ||

Although this book is for young adult readers, I don't feel that it should be limited to that age group. I'm sure anyone one who enjoys reading well writen books of this type would enjoy reading this.
