Summary of this Book...
An innocent Lady Brenna, young in her youth is forced to wed a teribble Scotland Highlander which was arranged through her father's selfish desires for material things which were greatly offered for her hand in marriage. In route to wed this man she never met, she is kidnapped from his mortal enemy who at the time wore war paint on his face as he captured her and would force her to marry and give him an heir. This warrior, only set on revenge for the man she was sent to marry has no plans for love...or at least he planned it that way. As for her, she has no choice and must do his bidding to keep herself and her family safe, but starts to fall for the oversized warrior as their journey begins.
I especially liked... | ||
The setting and time where the events unfolded, as a hopeless romantic and a love for Scotland, loved every bit of this book.
I didn't like... | ||
How the ending keeps you wanting to know just a little more of what happens after the happy ending. A little more detail of what emerged after both parties fell hopelessly in love.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Pick up another Scotland romance novel by Julie Garwood, which I have read two previous books of hers already. Though romance reading has to fit the mood to be enjoyed.
This Book made me feel...
Like a foolish, hopeless romantic I already know I am. Wishing men were more like they way she describes them in her books. ha ha
The author of this Book...
Julie Garwood is one of my favorite authors when it comes to good romance without a lot of cheap mushy sex plots, but keeps it simple but descriptive.
I recommend this Book because...
I truely recommend this book for those who enjoy old Scottish folklore and to die for romance situations. Very good.
I don't recommend this Book because...
No faults noted here. | ||
Further Comments... | ||
Plain and simple this book is truely romance and wishful desires that put you in that fantasy world of the "wish this were real...but its not" mood.
