Summary of this Book...
This book is about Anita Blake. Anita Blake is a young woman who is nicknamed the executioner because she is the state hired person who kills vogue vampires. (Rogue vampires are vampires that have broken the laws and because vampires and other supernatural beings are too powerful to contain, if they break the laws they are killed.) This series of books starting with Guilty Pleasures are the tales of her life. Because she one of the most powerful necromancers that have ever lived, her life is very complicated. She is very sarcastic, to the point that even with guns pointes at her head she tries to piss off her captures.
I especially liked... | ||
I especially liked…. Everything. This is the beginning of another one of my favorite series. I love the sarcastic humor, and how Anita Blake’s character matures. In my opinion her character changes in very life like ways. She has moral crisis because she killed people and raises the dead for a living, and the stories reflect accurately how she changes in dealing with her life.
The author of this Book...
The author of this book did a really good job creating a whole world. She built a world that is unlike the one we live in in many ways. She builds a whole new world basic on ours but different in many ways (the supernatural is a big one but there are many others to) that make this world very unique. Also I really love Anita’s sarcastic sense of humor.
I recommend this Book because...
I recommend this book because, there is plot, character development, action, humor, and it is very believable even though is it set in a world like our but drastically different. When I read it I felt like I actually lived in that world.
