The story flowed at a good pace, all the way throughout. The book starts with action—a couple of hardened criminals make out with a string of robberies. Their loot adds up to sixteen million. Then their crime spree comes to an abrupt halt, in a barrage of bullets.

Max Holman is a criminal turned hero, just coming out of prison for his own string of bank robberies. That is until he breaks the two-minute rule with a four-minute decision. After serving his ten years, he's released from prison, only to learn that his estranged son, a police officer, was gunned down with three other police officers, while off-duty.

Now Max is on a mission to find out who killed his son, and what his son was doing in the days prior to his death.

Even though he is stone-walled by the police department where his son worked, he does receive unexpected help from the FBI agent who helped to put him away.

This is a good story that will keep you reading.
