A family who has secrets especially when Frankie is no longer with them. A son who tried to get things done but fails. A detective who relentlessly follows a trail of mystery and suspense after going to a funeral. A family dog who is the target. A retired detective and some helpers embark on an adventure leading them to a concert to find the person who has a twisted mind and intends to do harm. All these characters and more bring to life a story of events that keep the reader at the edge of his seat ready to jump in and help. Who is the ice cream person handing out these tasty treats? Who is the computer geek that repairs peoples computers? These questions are important and require answers, but finding those answers is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Readers who enjoy mystery, adventure, suspense, intriguing characters, thrills, and the dark side of human nature will enjoy reading this book.

I liked all of this book especially the ending which was satisfying because the perpetrator was taken care of successful and justice had been served.

Parts of the book were sad because of things going wrong, but the flip side of this is other things went right.

When I finished this book I wanted to go to bed, but I also wanted to start reading the next book in this trilogy.

I felt like jumping in to the story and helping the good guys resolve the problems.

The scenes are vivid and show details of events that might need a throw up bag or tissues. The smells described are easy for me to imagine.

the characters kept me reading, The scenes had me up close and personal with the events, and the mystery of it all had me wanting to know more.

Scenes described might be very upsetting or at the very least require tissues.

I'm ready and excited about reading the next book in this trilogy. It is well written and I expect to find the same in the next book. I would give the characters more than five stars.
