This is super-cute picture book for children about the warmth and safety of a mother's love.

Children, babies to three years old. That's what is on the book. But I think it's good for anyone who wants to read to children, maybe even up to playgroup age.

The illustrations are awesome! I particularly like the ducks, but every one is really appealing.

Sometimes, the rhythm was a little off, but I guess that's okay because it's a book to read with children, not poetry experts.

Read another of this author's books. There is a lot to be learned from her pictures books.

Warm and fizzy. Also, nostalgic for my own mother. So it made me a little sad, too.

Emily Hartmann. She self publishes, and I have to say the quality is fantastic.

If you have little ones to read to, this is a perfect bedtime book.

I have one niggle with this book. I'm reading the Kindle version, and I guess this is an issue with ebook translation. The pictures didn't align properly. So the two pages that show up at one, for example, are a hedgehog picture on the left with a rhyme about the deer on the right. It's not a huge issue for me, but if you were reading it to children, they would want to see the correctly corresponding pictures.

The illustrations, however, are fabulous. All the animals are adorably shown. Ducks, hedgehogs, rabbits, deer, dogs, cats, cows, bird, bears, elephants, then a picture of a child with their cuddly toy. In all the pictures, it is clearly nighttime. This adds to the snuggly, calm feeling.

If I'm super picky, I would say that the hedgehog's rhyme is a little rougher than the others. But, I'm sure, children aren't going to notice this.

I think children will feel very warm and safe after having this book to them. It reinforces how much mothers love their children and how safe children are because of their mums.
