Further Comments... | ||
I definitely recommend reading this series in order. The books build on each other and, while she does kind of bring you up to speed from one book to another, I think it’d be most enjoyable if you had the whole story from the beginning. I liked that Cara, Talen and Janie’s appearances (featured in the previous book, Janie is Cara’s daughter and Talen her new mate) felt natural and that their story progressed too. Though I sure didn’t like Cara being in such danger from the virus the evil Kurjans let loose. At the moment, this book is included in the Kindle unlimited program, so if you're paying for that, you can borrow this book for "free." This is book two in a sixteen book series. I don't read the sex scenes, so those might be anything from mild to GC. This book felt like it was a natural flow from the first one. Emma is Cara's sister and she'd been on the run in the first book and in this book we find out for sure why. She's not interested in becoming Queen (Dage is King of the paranormal Realm for this series) but finds Dage physically irresistible. Eventually he wins her heart (Not a spoiler in my opinion, as this is expected in romance novels). I loved her dedication to helping humanity and her family and have loved Dage's character since his first appearance in the first book. It was a fun read for me. I think I put a library hold on the next book in the series before I even finished reading this one. (I borrowed this book from my local library too). | ||
