Summary of this Book...
In a future virtual reality is a big part of life. The original creator of virtual reality created a challenge filled with riddles before his death that would reward the first person who completed it control of the virtual reality world. As a result virtual reality users have been trying to solve challenge for years.

A teenager Wade Watts is one of the users attempting to complete it. He manages to find clues that would help him solve the first riddle needed to complete it but as he gets closer to completing the challenge other users attempt to stop him. It puts him in a high stakes race to complete the challenge before other people do.

The book is really good. It is a great action story with a nods towards classic video games and 80's / 90's culture. I really liked going through it very much.

This story is great. The Author really did a good job of depicting both the grim future the main character found himself growing up in and the fantasy virtual reality world that the character grew up in.

I was born in the 80s so I really appreciated all the cultural references that the story included related to earlier videogame culture. It was really fun to read.
