Summary of this Book...
Paul a writer crashes his can and is rescued by a nurse. He awakes in a strange place, with a stranger, instead of being in a hospital. The series of books he wrote are her favorite, but she is enraged because Paul killed Misery his main character. This nurse and Paul have an on-thin-ice relationship. With her mind set on bringing Misery to life again Paul writes a book specially for her. His life depends on writing the very best book he has ever written.
This type of Book is good for...
Readers who enjoy horror, suspense, mystery, dark, drama, and thrillers. Emotions that carry you through scenes of mental and physical hurt as well as the feeling of dread, doom, and a roller coaster of ups and downs.
I especially liked... | ||
The main characters' interactions kept me on the edge of my seat emotionally. The scenes made me squirm, and the dialogue was uniquely a part of the antagonist that gave me a deep view of who she is and I got to know her and Paul very well.
I didn't like... | ||
There is one gruesome scene where the nurse licked her fingers. The details will spoil the story.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
Never be involved with this nurse. The thought of being rescued by her makes me want to run for my life and hide behind an army of rangers.
This Book made me feel...
The story showed me details I hope to never experience. I felt every high and very, very low of each character. I could see the details and hear everything. This brought my emotions fully alive. I experienced it all.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
The n/a of this book...This is an adventure I wouldn't take in real life no matter what. I am glad I read the book and was able to immerse myself in the story. Every word guided me through a harrowing experience with emotions active every step of the way. I probably will read this book again eventually.
I recommend this Book because...
Being a part of the story, getting into the heads of the characters, seeing the details of the places, hearing and feeling the characters as they acter and react to each other and outside stimuli is worth leaping into a world many people don't know exists.
I don't recommend this Book because...
If you are the least bit squeamish, fearful of the unknown and even what is known, have nightmares, and have a weak stomach, I would suggest finding another book.
Further Comments... | ||
This book is very well written and did not have anything that took me out of the story. I enjoy the writing style.
