Summary of this Book...
This man just gets better and better! I was so looking forward to reading this, but I’m always nervous when I’m this excited in case the book doesn’t live up to my expectations. This book most definitely did live up to them! We find our selves back at Coopers Chase with our Fab Four mystery solvers. In this book, the love lives of some of of our characters have developed. I won’t give it away, but look out, Chris, Joyce, Donna and Ron. Okay, so Joyce’s love interest is a beautiful dog named Alan. In the midst of all this, we have a journalist and news anchor whose car went over a cliff ten years ago. Now, in current time, the woman convicted of murdering her is found dead in her prison cell. How are the two incidents connected? And will the Thursday Murder Club solve the murders I time to save their own skin? Very enjoyable read. I recommend it.
This type of Book is good for...
People looking for a funny, entertaining read. Yes; it is a cozy murder mystery, and the plot is reflects that. But, Osman's writing is just fabulous. He genuinely get better and better with each bilk he writes.
I especially liked... | ||
Osman's writing style. I love the way I feel like I know the main characters really well. I thought Ibrahim came into his own in this book. He's been bit overshadowed by the louder characters before, but he's a clever, funny chap. I like him. Joyce is still my favourite, though. The part where she opens her bag to see a gun in there and just takes it in her stride is fab.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Contact Richard Osman and hurry him along with the net book!
This Book made me feel...
Happy. Amused. Contented.
The author of this Book...
Richard Osman first came to the public attention by co-hosting the game show 'Pointless.' His banter with Alexander Armstrong was always amusing. But, he is now a (pretty much) full time novelist, and I get super excited every time I get notice of a new book heading our way.
I recommend this Book because...
It's easy to read, a quick read, and so completely brilliant.
