Summary of this Book...
This is the second in Meyers' "Twilight" series. It tells the story of how Bella dealt with her forced separation from Edward, how she grew closer to Jacob, how Edward dealt with the misinformation about Bella's status, and then shifted to a spontaneous trip to Italy and dealings with the vampire "royalty" there. It felt like two different books. At 563 pages, I don't see why they didn't break it into two books but that's just my personal opinion.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like stories about young adults, paranormal romance, vampires, werewolves, small town life, interpersonal and intrapersonal drama.
I especially liked... | ||
I liked how Alice shined in this book. The active/suspenseful parts of the book, especially in Italy. The Volturi's abilities. The Cullens' morals.
I didn't like... | ||
The disjointed feel to the book and the overly long emotional parts. How Bella claimed Edward was her one true love yet she was starting to settle for a less intense romance with Jacob. Until the need for the trip to Italy, it didn't really hold my attention well.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Take a break from the series but at the same time... find out what happens next.
This Book made me feel...
like I should like it more... I haven't seen the movies/tv shows but apparently it's wildly popular. It was an okay read but it didn't rock my world or anything. So... a bit disappointed.
