This is a delightful and funny children's book about a young chicken who interrupts her dad's attempts to read her a bedtime story. There's a fantastic twist at the end and the artwork changes along with it and it was the perfect bedtime story for me last night (yes, I like bedtime stories even though I'm an adult).

Kids, people of all ages who like a bedtime story, humor, chickens, and/or sweeter endings to old fairy tales.

The young chicken's enthusiasm and the aforementioned twist at the end. The added touch of her patting her dad on the head at the end.

Hug the little chicken

Amused, interested, and happy.

It was a delightful read. I think I'll probably read the other books in the series.

I borrowed this book from my local library. I might just buy a copy for my youngest nephew. I think he'll love it and his brothers and parents might not admit it, but they will too.

The artwork was perfect for the book.
