Summary of this Book...
This is the seventh installment in O'Connor's "An Irish Bookshop Mystery" series. I love Siobhan, her fiance, her siblings, and their quirky town. They have grown on me throughout the series. This book isn't as exciting as some of the earlier ones but it did have some interesting plot twists and a lot of quirky suspects.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like Ireland, Irish culture, family stories, mysteries, suspense, light romance, and/or humor.
I especially liked... | ||
The characters, especially, as mentioned above, Siobhan, her fiance, and her siblings. I enjoyed the twins in this book, even if they did accidentally impede the investigation in many ways (of course, if they hadn't, the book would have been shorter). The town and bits of Irish culture.
I didn't like... | ||
It had a few dry spots and could have been tighter in places.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read about Siobhan's wedding. I hope it happens in the next book. Though no one wants a murder at a wedding.
This Book made me feel...
Like I was part of the story. Very curious at times, wrapped up in the action at times, and happy at the end.
The author of this Book...
From Amazon: "Carlene O'Connor is the USA Today bestselling author of the acclaimed Irish Village Mysteries and the Home to Ireland Mysteries. Born into a long line of Irish storytellers, her great-grandmother emigrated from Ireland filled with tales in 1897 and the stories have been flowing ever since. Of all the places across the pond she's wandered, she fell most in love with a walled town in County Limerick and was inspired to create the town of Kilbane, County Cork, the setting of her Irish Village Mystery series. Carlene currently divides her time between Chicago and the Emerald Isle. Please visit her online at CarleneOConnor.net."
