Summary of this Book...
This is an inspirational, historical, Christian romance with a dose of humor and a larger dose of mystery. Gabriella and Nick spent some of their childhood together in a dangerous and criminal environment yet both were separated and managed to grow up to be responsible members of society.

When separated they totally lost track of each other and "coincidentally" met when Gabriella was dusting off her rusty safe cracking skills to help clear a falsely accused friend's name. Nick happened to be on the site and their first interaction since childhood was both dangerous and hilarious.

The book had more intrigue and danger than is typical for a historical Christian romance and I thought it made it more interesting.

There are a bunch of other characters and many of them are funny oddballs, which causes much of the humor in the book.

This is the first book in what I expect to be an enjoyable series.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like Christian, historical, mystery, detective, crime solving, redemption, romance and/or quirky characters and fun animals in their stories.
I especially liked...
Gabriella and Nick, of course. But also the two kids Gabriella caught breaking into her room, Daphne (who I believe will be featured as the heroine in the next book in the series), the leader of the Inquiry Agency, Nick's "uncle," the crime leader turned good citizen, all the oddball characters Nick took in as employees, the thieving bird, the love struck dogs and more. It was a fun read.
I didn't like...
There were a few slower parts but overall, I greatly enjoyed the book.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the next one but it hasn't been released yet.
This Book made me feel...
Like I was Gabriella, most of the time, and that I was part of all the action.
