This is an inspirational romantic suspense story. The romance is between former flames Carli and Zain. The mystery appears to be the cold case murder of Zain's sister / Carli's best friend but turns out to be much more twisted and involves another set of deaths and a big ongoing crime that brings federal agents to their small town.

People who like stories about faith, families, small towns, crimes, mysteries, drama, and/or romance.

Carli's faith in the Lord and her friend. Carli's great dedication to her family and willingness to do whatever it took to save her nephew. Her brother's character. Zain's dedication to truth. There was a lot of action and there were some interesting plot twists.

There were some character inconsistencies and slow points in the story.

Go to sleep. It was near my bedtime.

Interested in the story. Very nervous for the nephew when he was in danger.
