Summary of this Book...
This book is a summary of how Kendra Adachi aims to live her life. There are thirteen main rules she follows and then two unnumbered additional rules at the end (she doesn't call them rules but my list had 15 total).

She tells a lot of stories as she shares her rules and how they helped her "calm the crazy" in her life. She has a big following at her "Lazy Genius Collective."

This type of Book is good for...
People who want to improve in homemaking, organizational, and/or relational skills.
I especially liked...
The chapter on how she applied Essentialism to housework and her life. Her storytelling and sense of humor.
I didn't like...
That a lot of the book was just reworded advice from other sources.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Nothing comes to mind. I did write down her rules plus the extra two. I'm not sure I'll do more than that? I'd already applied "Essentialism" to my life so while it was interesting to read about someone else's experience in doing so (I thought I might have been the only one) there wasn't anything remarkably new for me.
This Book made me feel...
Like Kendra was talking to me and sharing her journey.
The author of this Book...
From Amazon: "About the Author
Kendra Adachi went to college to become a high school English teacher but instead became the Lazy Genius, passionately and candidly sharing how to stop doing it all for the sake of doing what matters. Her work includes hosting The Lazy Genius Podcast, cooking dinner on Instagram, and convincing her three young kids that talking into the phone is Mommy’s job. She and her husband love raising their family in the same North Carolina city they both grew up in."
I recommend this Book because...
I think, if one hadn't already read so many books on organization and housekeeping, that this would be a very helpful read. It was interesting even for me though so it's also good for people who like to read about these topics.
Further Comments...
I was supposed to have read this book back in Sept/Oct for a housekeeping group I'm in but I wasn't interested enough to buy it and my library had a very long wait list for it. Now I wish I'd bought it and read along with the group because the challenges would have made more sense but I'm not sad to have saved the $13.99. It was an interesting read and the author can be funny.
