This is an inspirational Christian historical romance set in Texas and Colorado. It's the first in a series. It tells the story of Marty and Jack, who start out in a marriage of convenience but their relationship grows into something more than either expect, or think they want.

People who like inspirational, Christian, historical and /or sweet romance novels.

the scene where she tells off the snobby women. My favorite scene with Marty was before she even met Jack though. Her heroic actions on the way to meet him did draw me into the story.

I had mixed feelings about Marty's character. She was good except for her lying. The lying was just so far out there that I didn't think it was in line with the rest of her character. It bothered me throughout the whole book, especially at the end. I thought she should have come clean a lot sooner.

Read Alice's story, so I requested the next book in the series from my local library. At least I already know I like the heroine in the next book.

Like I was part of the story, except the parts that involved Marty's lies. I had trouble relating to her because of that, as I already stated above.
