Summary of this Book...
This is the third in the "jigsaw files" series, a riveting series featuring Jade Warrick and Charlie Dodge. I love both of these main characters and have since the first book in the series. I highly recommend reading the series in order. The book opens with Charlie and Jade working together to find a teenage boy whose friends claim he took off alone in the National Park they were camping in without them and never got back to his truck. That story alone is fantastic but there are a bunch of side stories, like Charlie saving a family from two escaped prisoners in another park. And the second half of the book concentrates on how and why Jade's father figure is out to kill her and what she does about it. The end nicely links things not only from this book but previous books yet left me eager for another novel in the series. I hope there will be one.
This type of Book is good for...
People who like action, adventure, suspense and a touch of the paranormal.
I especially liked... | ||
Jade's powerful character and Charlie's sense of honor. Trisha's faithfulness, Tony's story, the scene where the little girl thanks Charlie for saving her. The scenes with Merlin. So much. The action flowed well and the story didn't lag. It kept me riveted throughout the whole book. This was a great book for me.
I didn't like... | ||
That Jade publicly admitted siphoning off $40 million dollars of Cyrus Parks' money and donating it to charity in his name. In reality, no matter how much law enforcement admires her, I'd think they'd have to arrest her. There were a few other things that didn't make logical sense but despite that, reading the book was a great experience so it didn't take away from my enjoyment.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the next one. But I'll have to wait until Sharon Sala writes it.
This Book made me feel...
Like I was Jade. Which is extraordinary because she's far more intelligent, powerful and amazing.
The author of this Book...
Is my favorite secular author. Here's what Amazon has to say: "Sharon Sala is a member of RWA and OKRWA with 115 books in Young Adult, Western, Fiction, Women's Fiction, and non-fiction. RITA finalist 8 times, won Janet Dailey Award, Career Achievement winner from RT Magazine 5 times, Winner of the National Reader's Choice Award 5 times, winner of the Colorado Romance Writer's Award 5 times, Heart of Excellence award, Booksellers Best Award. Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award. Centennial Award for 100th published novel."
I recommend this Book because...
It's fantastic. | ||
I don't recommend this Book because...
note: there are acts of violence, evil actions and non graphic descriptions of things I probably can't say with the rating I selected for this review.
Further Comments... | ||
Definitely read books one and two first for the best enjoyment. I preordered this book and read it the day it was released (yesterday, July 28, 2020).
