Go the Fuck to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don't always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland. Profane, affectionate, and radically honest, Adam Mansbach's verses capture the familiar and unspoken tribulations of putting your little angel down for the night. In the process, he has opened up a conversation about parenting, granting us permission to admit our frustrations, and laugh at their absurdity.

Any parent or guardian that has experienced the nightmares of a bedtime routine will probably get a kick out of this book. Also, fans of:

- Brutal Honesty

What's not to like? It's hilarious honesty reminds and reassures us that we're not alone in the hellish battles of parenting.

Not a damn thing.

Being the type of parent I am, I just had to read this book to my little darlings at bedtime. Don't worry, they're 15 and 16 so they weren't traumatized in any way.

Adam Mansbach's novels include the best-selling Angry Black White Boy, a San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of 2005 and The End of Jews, winner of the California Book Award. His daughter, Vivien, was his inspiration for Go the Fuck to Sleep.

I wouldn't recommend this book to those that have a problem with profanity.
