Summary of this Book...
From New York Times:
A landmark volume in science writing by one of the great minds of our time, Stephen Hawking’s book explores such profound questions as: How did the universe begin—and what made its start possible? Does time always flow forward? Is the universe unending—or are there boundaries? Are there other dimensions in space? What will happen when it all ends? Told in language we all can understand, A Brief History of Time plunges into the exotic realms of black holes and quarks, of antimatter and “arrows of time,” of the big bang and a bigger God—where the possibilities are wondrous and unexpected. With exciting images and profound imagination, Stephen Hawking brings us closer to the ultimate secrets at the very heart of creation.

I especially liked...
This book kept me thinking for days about light, the universe, and pretty much everything else. I could barely wrap my brain around some of it, but nevertheless, I was fascinated with the sheer amount of information he shared in a serious and humorous manner.
I didn't like...
At times it seemed the author was distracted. He sounded like a lecturing professor prepping students for the final exam.
The author of this Book...
Stephen Hawking has written or participated in the creation of numerous other popular science books, such as The Universe in a Nutshell, A Briefer History of Time, On the Shoulders of Giants, The Illustrated On the Shoulders of Giants, and George's Secret Key to the Universe.
I recommend this Book because...
Although it's not a textbook, it would be perfect for a high school student to read. There are no difficult words and writes in a clear, easy to understand style. Anyone that has a desire to learn more about the theory of evolution would benefit.
Further Comments...
A Brief History of Time was first published in 1988. It was Mr. Hawking's first book. It has sold nearly 10 million copies in 40 languages. This book is the revised 10th-anniversary unabridged edition published in 1998.
