Summary of this Book...
Back of Book: Antique dealer Laine Tavish is an ordinary woman living an ordinary life. At least, that's what everyone in the small town of Angel's Gap, Maryland, thinks. They have no idea that she used to be Elaine O'Hara, the daughter of a notorious con man. Laine's past catches up with her when one of Big Jack's associates turns up in her shop with a cryptic warning and is then run down in the street. Now the next target of a ruthless killer, Laine teams up with sexy PI Max Gannon to find out who's chasing her, and why. The answer lies in a hidden fortune that will change Laine's life forever.
This type of Book is good for...
Readers that enjoy these genres may also like this book: -Contemporary Romance -Action & Adventure -Suspense
I especially liked... | ||
I really liked that Laine seems to stay true to herself. While she doesn't follow in her father's footsteps, she does occasionally let herself skate the line of right and wrong.
I didn't like... | ||
While I did like the romance between Laine and Max I felt like it was too rushed. It was just a little too cheesy, even for a book.
This Book made me feel...
I think a prequel featuring Laine as a child would have been great. I'm sure there would be some amusing tales.
The author of this Book...
Nora Roberts previously published this book along with another in Rember When.
I recommend this Book because...
Reading this book was a nice way to kill a couple of hours. The suspense and action made up for the hokey romantic angle.
