Secrets, lies, and family split apart by tragedy lay at the heart of this remarkable novel.

How real this book was. From the setting to the characters and the deeply complex plot, I became a silent character, moving about this world of river folk, perverted gardeners, and wealthy politicians.

Sit and think about the book a bit longer.

Sad, angry, hopeful, despised, and loved. A plethora of raw emotion.

It's heartbreaking and engaging. I couldn't put it down!

This is a powerful book. Definitely one of the best books I've read all year...maybe ever.
