Wow. Wow. Wow. I loved this book!

Firstly, Lucy Clarke writes so beautifully and so descriptively, it’s impossible to not fall in love with her words. It’s easy to get lost in the story. And it is a great story.

A writer returns home after a book signing in France. While away, she lets her home as an Airbnb. However, when she gets home, something doesn’t feel right. Her ideal writing retreat overlooking the Cornish coastline feels creepy, as though someone is watching her. Slowly, her perfect life begins to unravel. Who is taunting her? Is it all in her head? The reveal at the end is fantastic! It had me tearing through the pages. It’s so clever. Absolutely perfect.

I highly recommend this book. It’s a fab psychological thriller, but so much more as well. The writing is mesmerising. It’s just .. beautiful.

Surely, everyone! It’s wonderfully creepy, the suspense is incredible, and the writing is beautiful. Plus, the plot is awesome, to boot!

Everything! But, most of all, the beauty of the writing. There are so many fresh descriptions that blew me away.

Read another Lucy Clarke book. I read her book ‘A Single Breath’ last year, and that was awesome, too. I have ‘The Blue’ on my bookshelf, so I’ll have to read that soon.
