This is a young adult book. I got a chance to meet the author and get her to sign my book at the last Elora Writer's Festival. The writer is a joy to listen to as she reads from her book... the book itself is okay, but although I enjoyed it, I was not inspired to get the next book. It would be great for children to read - nine and ten year olds, but I did not find it that riveting. Two children, who eventually meet, go on an adventure to try to save the girl's grandfather. The managed to find the lost key and one of the members of the Fabulous Five, but they loose the key to the bad guys and still have not found the girl's grandfather by the end of the book... cliffhanger. I guess I felt a little cheated about that.

Children who are grade 4 to 6.

The cliffhanger ending... though it may get others to read the next book in the series, I am not hooked.

A little disappointed and frustrated by the cliffhanger. I found it did not tie up as nicely as I expected it to.

Is a very lovely, creative person with a flare for the dramatic... much like her writing. I beleive she also does a bit of acting... or has in her past.
I got to meet the author at the last Elora Writer's Festival. I got my book signed. I also have the pleasure of having done NaNoWriMo with one of her friends - J.M. Frey

This is more a children's book. I wouldn't recommend it as an adult read.
