Summary of this Book...
I loved this book! Right from the start, I was hooked into the world of Alicia Berenson and her murderous actions. Her story is told sympathetically through psychotherapist Theo’s narrative, with extracts from her personal diary that she kept leading up to her husband’s murder. Alicia is a fascinating, intriguing character, and I raced through this book to find out whether or not she was guilty in the end. All of the characters appear guilty of something at some point, and it keeps you guessing right until the big reveal.

There is a killer twist at the end of this book. I never saw it coming, even though all the clues are there when I look back over it. The story is so good. So exciting.

However ... when I first started to read this book, I found the author's writing style a little amateurish. Particularly, in his descriptions of people. Every time he introduced someone new, he would give their name, then list a few of their attributes. It was definitely more tell than show. That said, I soon forgot about this as I was swept up in the mystery and danger of Alicia's story. Luckily, the plot is so good, the quality of writing didn't have to be prize-winning.

This type of Book is good for...
People who love psychological thrillers, page-turners, fast reads. It provides both a fantastic plot with an amazing twist and fantastic character studies.
I especially liked...
The twist! The plot. The danger.
I didn't like...
The author's descriptions. They could have been better.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Talk to others who have read it.
I recommend this Book because...
It's exciting. The plot is fab. The characters are fascinating. And, once again, THAT twist!
