I used this book as a supplement to my high school World Religion and Ancient History courses.

have been unable to find much information about the author, Walter M. Weiss, but he has written several books on spirituality, travel, and culture.

This book has the clarity of Wikipedia, the readability of an everyday book, and wonderful photography. In only 190 pages.
