A dystopian novel where people are forced to live in silos beneath the Earth due to the noxious gases in the air. Of course, not all is as it seems...

This book is good to read when you want to procrastinate doing anything else. It grips you by the seat of your pants and doesn't let you go until the very last page (but then there is a sequel and a prequel to pick up, so it doesn't really let you go at the end either). Dystopian fiction fans will have a blast, but this book is such a good read, anyone who likes thrilling and suspenseful tales will enjoy it.

The character of Juliette. She is so perfectly human, we can all see ourselves in her. Exploring the world of Wool with someone as perceptive and ingenious as her is a pleasure.

When I finished reading, I immediately wanted to read it again. The ending leaves you feeling empty and yearning for the story to continue. In addition, the numerous twists throughout the story cannot be fully appreciated without a second read.

Claustrophobic.

Hugh Howey wrote this book over the course of three years while working as a bookseller full time. He published first online, and when the response was so great, he was contacted by Simon & Schuster to publish a hard copy of the novel. I admire Howey because he, like many of us, first posted his work online. I look up to him and find his journey to becoming a published author inspiring.

I recommend this book because I need to talk to someone about it! If you end up reading Wool based on this review, please contact me! This story is so fast-paced, you won't be able to put it down. Just be sure to find a buddy to read with because you'll find yourself yelling "WHAT?" several times
