Summary of this Book...
Three unorthodox paranormal investigators go looking for children who have been kidnapped by interdimensional shape shifters. A very strange novel told by all three of the main characters in the 1st person. A challenging but enjoyable read, to say the least.
This type of Book is good for...
Any and all fans of horror, science fiction, and a bit of comedy
I especially liked... | ||
David Wong's (the author) odd sense of humor as he and his best friends attempt to find the kidnapped children.
I didn't like... | ||
It was a little difficult to read since about 40 pages into this 375 novel, the author, who is also one of the main characters, warns the readers that from that point on the story will be told all three of the 'detectives' in their own voice, and it will be confusing.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Go out and buy his first two books in this series: 'John Dies At The End', and the 2nd, 'This Book Is Full Of Spiders: Seriously Dude, Don't Touch it'. The first one was made into a movie by horror legend, Don Coscarelli. The 2nd one was David Wong's first New York Times Best Seller.
This Book made me feel...
Oddly enough, it wasn't bad. Just a little confusing.
The author of this Book...
Is a New York Times best seller, and his talent is growing with each book he writes
Further Comments... | ||
I've never read Wong before, but he's definitely in a class all by himself. He has a strong following, and I predict that it will only grow larger.
