While racing from one side of the book to the other, in burlap sacks, Bella and Ben's dog bumps them off the page and into a comic book. Mouse leads them to the librarian, who points the way to their own book... though she is wrong. They end up in several other books before, alas, finding their own once again.

Ages 4 - 8

Lots of fun illustrations, but I especially liked the book full of instructions which actually are instructions for making a little boat out of paper, just the right size for Bella and Ben. "Book ahoy!"

Richard Byrne, author and illustrator, grew up in England and worked in graphic design before finding his passion in children's books. He also wrote, "The Book Just Ate My Dog."

It's a clever concept, not an over-used theme at all, which is refreshing!
