Summary of this DVD...
This is a musical remake of Philadelphia Story. It is Grace Kelly's last film and teams Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra as C.K. Dexter Haven (played by Cary Grant in Philadelphia Story) and Mike, the reporter (played by Jimmy Stewart in Philadelphia Story)

This is the same movie, just with a different cast and dopey songs. The plot is a rich society woman gets married for the second time. She thinks of herself as a bit of a princess and wants to be treated like a goddess. Then she still isn't happy. She really loved her first husband, but refused to tolerate his bad habits. But, he is the one she really loved, although it takes them splitting up for her to learn that.

The one song I liked is "True Love" sung by Crosby to Kelly. He is way too old to be paired with her and Crosby is no Cary Grant in the charm department. He seems grouchy and irritated with the whole thing. I can't say I blame him for that.

Grace Kelly acts like she's trying to do a bad immitation of Katherine Hepburn. The movie was very tedious and boring. The original is way better, but this is worth seeing as Grace Kelly's last film. She sure was pretty, but her acting was a bit uneven.
I didn't like...
Bing Crosby here. He's all wrong for the role he plays.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
it's dopey. It only cost me a dollar, but it is dopey all the way through. I was bored.
