Summary of this Book...
This is the non-fiction book about the murder case in California about a woman who went missing on Christmas Eve in 2002, when she was eight months pregnant. Her husband was eventually convicted of the crime, although they put on a big show of being prosperous and happily married. It was a big act, apparently.

I didn't follow the case at the time it happened because I was in the middle of making a big move, geographically speaking.

I bought the hard back book at a book sale and it is very well written and reasoned. I think the author did a good job of organizing the facts.

The husband of the missing woman is creepy and a pathological liar and deceiver, but appears to be happy go lucky and very much a smiling fellow at all times, even when he should be sad, or at least look the part. It is very weird how he publically carried on with another woman and thought he could get away with whatever it was that he did.

The fact that her body was found where he last placed himself the day she went missing (in San Francisco Bay) is odd.

It is hard to understand the reasoning that went on in this guy's head. I find the whole thing (after reading the book) very puzzling and confusing. The author totally thinks that the husband did it. I think he had to have had help somehow in the covering up of the horrific crime if he did it.

There are some pieces of the puzzle that do not fit for me.
I especially liked...
the way the author organizes the facts of the investigation for the reader.
I didn't like...
the fact that at the end of it, I am not convinced of much.
I recommend this Book because...
if you want to learn more about the case, this is probably a good, well reasoned place to start.
